This page is maintained by the BioPath team to explain what cookies and similar technologies the platform uses. It is not legal advice or a certification.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of them.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required to run the platform: authentication, session persistence, security, load balancing, and remembering your language or theme. These cannot be switched off in our interface.
Functional
Remember preferences you choose — for example, dashboard filters, dismissed banners, saved views, and roadmap progress across sessions.
Analytics
Help us understand how the platform is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, which features are useful, and where errors occur. We use this data to improve the product, not to identify you personally.
Marketing
Used only if you sign up for updates or interact with campaigns. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the core product.
3. Third parties
Some cookies are set by service providers who help us run BioPath, including authentication, hosting, payments, email delivery, and analytics. These providers set cookies only as needed to deliver their part of the service.
4. How long they last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them, typically from a few days up to 12 months.
5. Your choices
- Most browsers let you block, delete, or be notified about cookies in their settings.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.
- You can export or delete your account data anytime from Privacy & Your Data.
6. Do Not Track
There is no shared industry standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, so we do not currently change behavior based on them. We only use analytics and functional cookies as described above.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the platform or by email before they take effect.
