Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using BioPath ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you use BioPath on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and payments

• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from account settings.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law, infringe intellectual property, or harass others on the platform.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape at scale, overload, or bypass security controls.
• Upload malware, illegal content, or personal data of others without a lawful basis.
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation with an institution.
• Use AI features to generate content that is deceptive, discriminatory, or harmful.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload (resumes, notes, portfolio items, messages). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload.

7. AI outputs

BioPath uses AI to generate roadmaps, feedback, and suggestions. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Verify important decisions with qualified sources before acting on them.

8. Mentors and third parties

Mentors, coaches, and institutions listed on BioPath are independent parties. We facilitate introductions and bookings but do not employ mentors or guarantee outcomes of any session, program, or opportunity.

9. Intellectual property

The BioPath name, logo, interface, and content we provide are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them only as needed to use the Service.

10. Termination

You can stop using BioPath and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users or the Service.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BioPath is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the platform or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at BioPath's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where local consumer law gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.
